Festival on The Trails 2018

Well, the annual Festival on the Trails festivities in Gardner was extremely busy for Gardner Lodge this year.  We had our work cut out for us manning three different events during the festival but also allowed for great one on one time with the general community.

The Worshipful Master, Alex G Powers was invited to represent the lodge for the annual Historical Society Chat Fest.  The Gardner Lodge was featured this year as 2018 marks our 150th year as a chartered lodge.  Brother Powers set up an impressive display for the chatfest showing a variety of items representing many parts of our proud history here in Gardner as well as giving a short presentation before engaging in many enjoyable chats with other history enthusiasts.

In addition to the Chat Fest presentation, we also had a strong presence based out of the lobby of the local Presbyterian church hosting our Child ID Program.  Past Master, Raph Jensen deserves a lot of credit for keeping this valuable program going, and completely free to the public.  We must also give a huge shout out to the local Young Marines Cadets who have helped us with their manpower to run our ID stations for these events to make sure we can get through everyone in a timely manner.

Now the real big guns for the day were the few of our Brothers who went out to serve the lodge without the comforts of AC like the rest of us.  Brothers Gerald Sloan and Ron Elrod bore the heat to setup up a booth to sell our lodge raffle tickets. This year the Kansas Masons are raffling off an amazing classic car that everyone wants to get their hands on. Thank you for your hard work and commitment Brothers!
