2017 Kansas Leadership Academy

Officers of Gardner Lodge made the commute yesterday to Topeka, Ks. to partake in the annual Leadership Academy put on the by Grand Lodge of Kansas.  This, as always, was an exceptional event that even drew in Brethren from several different Masonic jurisdictions.  The day was structured into two different class tracks for everyone to choose which classes they wanted to attend which best fit their leadership needs.  The officers at Gardner Lodge worked together making sure one of us was at every class offered and taking detailed notes for each other.  This allowed us to make the most out of the event and gather all the great information offered to put in to practical use in our Lodge.

For those of you that purchased a raffle ticket to win the classic car, the drawing took place at yesterdays event.  We are proud to announce Gardner Lodge came in 3rd place on the number of tickets sold which landed us a Bonus prize check of $1,000 on top of the returns for tickets sold.

We are extremely appreciative of all of you who purchased a ticket or tickets to support our lodge and our missions in the community.  We are excited to announce there will be another car raffle held next year so stay tuned for more details on that and what kind of car will be up for grabs this time around!

The day was topped off with a Table Lodge immediately following the Leadership Academy.  We were thrilled to have a good friend and Brother Bill Short make the drive down from our neighboring Nebraska jurisdiction for the event.

As always this Table Lodge hosted by the Grand Lodge of Kansas was exceptional and can without a doubt say a grand time was had by all.  We are looking forward to next year which has been announced to be in Wichita, Kansas September 2018.
